ARChive of Contemporary Music
The world's biggest record collection? The ARChive of Contemporary Music was founded in 1986 by librarian David Wheeler and B. George, author of Volume: The International Discography of the New Wave. The ARC is a not-for-profit archive, music library and research center located in New York City. The ARChive collects, preserves and provides information on the popular music of all cultures and races throughout the world from 1950 to the present. Since the ARChive's founding in 1986 their holdings have grown to over 1.5 million sound recordings, including some 70,000 punk records. Sound Idea strongly encourages all bands and record labels to send two copies of their releases to: Archive of Contemporary Music, 54 White Street, New York, NY 10013 USA.

Frank Vagnozzi Music Foundation
Frank Vagnozzi was the singer and guitarist of The Reckless Deerhunters, one of the Tampa area's longest-running, hardest-working punk bands. The Reckless Deerhunters played scores of local benefit shows and were a true asset to our music scene. Frank passed away on May 20, 2003. His friends and family have started a charity in his memory.

Garage-A Records
The place to go for record cleaning supplies and turntable parts, including needles and belts.

Havoc Records
Some of the finest hardcore in the world today (and yesterday) comes out on Havoc Records. Of course, you probably know that Sound Idea carries all Havoc titles. But if you wanna go straight to the source, here you go. Also has lots of tour dates.

Kill From The Heart
Essential international band info data base. Site is divided geographically, so you can look up bands by country or state. Visitors are encouraged to contribute to the listings. There is SO MUCH info here. Keeps getting better and better, so keep going back!

Matte Black
Frank Mullen, drummer of Roach Motel has been photographing bands since the 1980s. Frank provided the excellent photos of Hated Youth that appeared on the "Hardcore Rules" 7". On his site you can see samples of his work, including Black Flag, Dead Kennedys as well as a bunch of lame crap like Metallica. If you require the services of a professional photographer and live in the Atlanta area, Frank's your guy. You can also ask him about Roach Motel. Go ahead.

Maximum Rocknroll
Love it or hate it, MRR has been coming out every month since 1982 and has been a treasure of info for generations of punks around the world. Check out the famous MRR radio show online. A new show every Sunday!

Sound Pollution Records
Great thrash label run by Ken from Hellnation.

Spontaneous Combustion
Another fine 1980s U.S. punk/hardcore worship site. Especially noteworthy are the indepth interviews with Robbie Fields of Posh Boy Records and Lisa Fancher of Frontier Records.

United Record Pressing
Putting out a record? You should check into using United Record Pressing for 7" , 10" and 12" vinyl. They've been making records since before you were born and know what they're doing. I've done dozens of pressings with United and they always come out great. And their prices are the lowest in the world. URP has pressed vinyl for Burrito, Havoc, Slap A Ham, Profane Existence, Six Weeks and hundreds of small punk labels.

WFMU
An independent radio station broadcasting in the New York City area and live on the web. Check out "Diane Kamikaze's Fun Machine" and Pat Duncan's "Loud Live Acts," with a live band on the air every week.
