The store opened in March 1995. Everything on the web page is in the store, plus more. If you're in the Tampa/Brandon area, stop in and check us out. We love meeting our mailorder customers. We've had visitors from Germany, England, Holland, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Spain, Africa, Australia, Canada and just about every state in the U.S.

Sound Idea is located in on State Road 60 (Brandon Blvd) in Brandon, just outside of the Tampa city limits.
From I-75, take the BRANDON EXIT (There is only one Brandon Exit, so don't miss it.)
If you are coming from the NORTH, take a LEFT at the off ramp.
If you are coming from the SOUTH, take a RIGHT at the off ramp.
The off ramp will put you on STATE ROAD 60, also called BRANDON BLVD.
Take State Road 60 EAST for about 4 miles.
Sound Idea is on the SOUTHEAST CORNER of STATE ROAD 60 and PARSONS in a shopping center with SHELL'S SEAFOOD, right across the street from Walgreen's Drugs. Our phone number is (813) 653-2550, in case you get lost.

SPECIAL EVENTS AND ON-GOING PROGRAMSTop^
RECORD SWAPS: Sound Idea record swaps are the best place to pick up out of print and
unusual punk and hardcore records. The swaps are free for vendors and for the public.

ZINE LIBRARY: Hang out for a while and browse the Sound Idea Zine library, featuring hundreds
of independent publications from around the world. Donations are graciously accepted, so send
us your old (or new) zines and we'll give them a good home.
TAPE AND CD-R EXCHANGE: The Sound Idea tape and CD-R exchange program is a great way to
hear new music for next to nothing. Make a tape or CD-R of something cool, drop it in the box
and pick out something new for yourself.
TOP SECRET SALES: Sometimes we have top secret, invitation only sales for our local customers.
